Morocco, a country in warm colours.
We have visited many beautiful places like old palaces, old mosques,... I find that the Djemaa El Fna square fantastic. It's quite a change ! With its acrobats, snake charmers, storytellers and water salesmen with their coloured costumes it gave me the impression to be in another time.
Non- Muslims can't enter holy places and Muslims must prove that they are Muslims with a green card but I didn't have it! And so I also couldn't enter any mosques,... BUT a woman made us, Marcia and I, go discreetly to the Hassan II mosque. She gave us veils and guided us inside. It was impressive !
But my favourite visits were during my free time. We were about ten to fifteen to visit the Majorelle gardens, it's Yves Saint Laurent's gardens. It was wonderful ! It was the first time that I have seen such a big cactus ! The atmosphere over there was quiet and alleviating. The last day we were again about ten of less to visit Badii palace. It's the ruins of an old immense palace within middle six big ponds.
I was disappointed with the visits with our guide because he only said the name, the date of the places and sometimes who lived in it. And it was all! We visited beautiful places but it wasn't interessing visits.
To conclude, Morocco is a wonderful country and I'm looking forward to travel again to it, for better visiting Fès and Rabat.
