Our visits in Morocco
During our trip to Morocco, we visited a lot of monuments, cities, ruins and royal palaces...
The day after we arrived, we visited the city of Marrakech : the Koutobia's minaret, Menera's and Bahia's gardens. These gardens were wonderful ! What hit me the most was the details on the carved walls, that's incredible that people made this hundred years ago with only some rudimental tools...
Our guide told us that if someone would want to build the same building today, it would be impossible because of the price that would cost...
In Marrakech, we visited also the very famous Djemâa el-Fna square. It is a beautiful place but I didn't like it very much because of the snake charmers (I am very scared of snakes...). Nevertheless, there were also monkeys and orange juice sellers...Next to the place are the "souks". I think that's the most typical thing in Morocco. I had never been in s
uch a place so we learned to haggle and I must confess that it's quiet pleasant !
The third day we moved to Casablanca, next to the Atlantic Ocean. In city was build on of the most gigantic mosques around the world. This was very impressive to stand in fornt of this huge building. 200 meters high and place for more than 100 000 believers... and a sliding roof !!
Then we moved again to Rabat via Volubilis. We made a break and visited the old Roman city of Volubilis and his ruins and different temples. The day after we moved to Fès and then we went back to Marrakech for our last day in Morocco.
Unforgettable memories !!
